"Love takes off the masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.” - James Baldwin
Henry (he/him) is a dedicated and welcoming licensed social worker who obtained his Master of Social Work degree at the NYU Silver School of Social Work in May of 2025. He seeks to meet his clients exactly where they are in their mental health journey, utilizing a strengths-based approach to support clients in developing a robust sense of self-worth and confidence in their uniqueness.
Henry practices with an integrated approach rooted in psychodynamic and relational practice. Within this framework, he draws from a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor sessions to the client's individual needs and goals. Among these approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and motivational interviewing.
Before joining the team at City Therapy, Henry worked as a psychotherapist at Dwellness Therapy, a practice that provides both individual and group therapy in a variety of settings. There, he conducted long-term care for individual, adult clients and co-led a support group for clients grieving the loss of their loved ones.
Prior to Dwellness Therapy, Henry worked as a care coordinator on a street outreach team at City Relief. There, Henry conducted mental health counseling and case management with clients who were experiencing homelessness, substance abuse issues, and mental devastation resulting from complex trauma. Using the skills associated with motivational interviewing, Henry was able to guide his clients toward positive change across a variety of behavioral issues.
Before receiving his MSW from the Silver School of Social Work, Henry graduated Summa Cum Laude from the George Washington University with a degree in Psychology and American Studies. When he is not working, he is often listening to music (of all genres), running outside, or taking photos of his friends in New York City. Henry is a white, cis-gendered, queer man whose native language is English.
